The Kent Forestry Targa Rally sponsored by Connaught Competition Engines will take place on the 16th September 2023. As with all motorsport events, the support of marshals is required - so sign up if you're interested.
Targa Rallying is a rapidly growing branch of motorsport and caters for road going cars.
The Kent Forestry Targa comprises of 32 miles of competitive motorsport run through wooded private land. The event is for road specification rally cars of any age and the only modification needed is a roll hoop. There are five tests, run twice during a single day. The event is located at Mereworth Woods, near Borough Green in Kent.
Competitor cars are required to follow a route provided in a road book providing details of each junction and features they encounter. These consist conned chicanes and stop/starts.
To run successfully the event needs over 100 marshals to man 47 locations. There is no access to spectators, so marshalling is the only way to see the action.
No special skills are needed, so this is an ideal opportunity to come and see what the sport is all about and enjoy an action packed day in fantastic surroundings. There is also a free breakfast and lunch and a free marshal’s prize draw for a cash prize.
There have been a few changes for 2023 and some new roads will be used. But Borough 18 Motor Club still need lots of marshals.
